Our project phase will be spent working alongside Soteni International in a Village of Hope in Mituntu Village, located in the foot-hills North East of Mount Kenya...

Soteni's aim is to prevent and mitigate the effects of the HIV/AIDS pandemic among the most vulnerable populations in Kenya through the development of socio-economic, care and prevention programmes within the communities.

As part of Soteni's Villages of Hope model, we will be contributing to an important community education programme focussed on promoting self-sufficiency: our team will be responsible for assisting with the construction of a chicken house that will protect up to 300 chickens from the extremities of the Kenyan climate, providing a secure food and income source.
